Smorgasburg becomes Smorgasburger in Brooklyn this weekend

New York City Smorgasburg, that classic spring and summer culinary destination, is known for its vast and varied vendors that now span four locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Jersey City. And this weekend, six regular vendors and one special guest will coordinate to create limited burger specials.

On Sunday, June 5, from 11am to 6pm, Prospect Park Smorgasburg proprietors Burger Supreme, Duck Season, Palenque, Paper Plate, Tojo’s Kitchen and Smashed will be joined by George Motz of Motzburger to celebrate all manner of inventive burger offerings. This is Smorgasburg’s first burger bash and it will be the only time to try many of the menu items. Custom tote bags, giveaways and temporary burger tattoos for kids will also be available for the occasion. And Smorgasbeer will be $1 off at the bar with the promo code “burger.” See the full list of burgers below.

Burger Supreme: A classic smash cloaked in signature mustard.

Duck Season: Angus beef duck fat burger on a brioche bun with duck confit, crispy duck skin, gem lettuce and smoked duck fat mayo.

Palenque: Gluten-free arepa burgers with Angus beef and mozzarella.

Paper Plate: Single and double burger varieties served with shoestring fries.

Tojo’s Kitchen: Wagyu beef on a purple ube bun.

Smashed: Jalapeño bacon jam, cream cheese bacon sauce, pepper jack and applewood bacon in vegan and non-vegan varieties.

Motzburger: A patty smashed with thin-sliced sweet onions on a roll with American cheese.
