A fire broke out at NYC's famed Bryant Park holiday market
New York City's famed Bryant Park holiday market, which draws scores of tourists and locals during the holiday season, caught fire this morning. Videos on social media show a raging inferno with flames lapping several booths and plumes of smoke hovering over Midtown. Nobody was injured, local media reported.
Bryant Park posted on Instagram Stories that they're thankful for FDNY's "quick response to the incident that occurred earlier today." As of now, The Rink and The Lodge are back open. Most of the market's 170 holiday shops have reopened, and the rest of the shops unaffected by the fire will reopen later today.

Fire officials were called around 9:30am and had the fire under control within a half hour, per the New York Times. The fire marshal will investigate the cause, the Times added.
This is the second holiday market in New York City to catch fire during the winter season this year. The holiday market at Herald Square near Macy's went up in flames earlier this month, impacting 18 booths. FDNY fire marshals deemed that fire accidental, saying it was started by electrical wiring, per NBC 4.
