The Weeknd is hosting a surprise pop-up experience in NYC starting tomorrow
Alert the media and the (very large) fan base: The Weeknd announced the debut of an immersive pop-up experience in partnership with Spotify this weekend at the massive exhibit space Hero under Rockefeller Center in midtown Manhattan.
"Hurry Up Tomorrow," as the activation is called, will debut Friday, January 31, and run through Sunday, February 2.
The experience features a number of different aspects. The retail portion showcasing "a collection of exclusive products comprised of genuine leather jackets, a bomber jacket, custom fleece, tees and long sleeves, as well as hats and bandanas," according to an Instagram post, will be free and open to the public. You won't even need to sign up ahead of time to get in.
The program also includes an experiential art installation "that will transport fans on a journey through the mind of The Weeknd," reads the social media post, referencing the artist's sixth studio album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, which is scheduled to drop tomorrow.
Although the installation is also free to attend, those interested will need to register for a specific time slot right here. Keep in mind that the staff will be accepting limited walk-ins as well, based on availability.
The pop-up will operate between 3pm and 8pm tomorrow and between noon and 8pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Following the success of the Bad Bunny-themed photo booth in Brooklyn a few weeks ago, we expect many people to flock to midtown Manhattan this weekend so you're going to want to organize your days accordingly.
