See Ed Sheeran's surprise performance on a NYC subway platform
Seeing Jimmy Fallon in disguise busking at a NYC subway station alongside a famous artist has almost become a weekly rite of passage around the city, thanks to the talk show host's Tonight Show subway busking segment.
Just yesterday, Fallon teamed up with pop star Ed Sheeran at the 50th Street subway station to perform Chappell Roan's hit, "Pink Pony Club." Both wore black wigs, sunglasses and fake lip piercings, introducing themselves as the "Frat Poison" band.
After their rendition of Roan's track, the duo removed their disguises, revealed their true identities and then launched into Sheeran’s new single, "Azizam." As expected, the crowd went wild.

Just a few months ago, New Yorkers were treated to a similar performance by Bad Bunny. The Puerto Rican rapper surprised commuters on the same subway platform. Joined by the late night show's house band The Roots, Bad Bunny and Fallon sang their own version of "I Want it That Way" by the Backstreet Boys, followed by the 30-year-old rapper's song "NUEVAYoL."
A ton of other artists have participated in the segment throughout the years, including Alanis Morissette, Christina Aguilera, U2, Green Day and Maroon 5, among others. We can only imagine who Fallon will call upon next.
